Returns and Refunds Policy
1. Two distinct policies
The Customer benefits, on the one hand, from a 14-day commercial right of withdrawal provided for by the Consumer Code and, on the other hand, from legal guarantees (conformity and hidden defects). These two policies are independent and cumulative. This policy summarizes the main points; details can be found in the Terms and Conditions of Sale and on the Right of Withdrawal page.
2. Right of withdrawal — 14 days
The Customer has a period of 14 days from the receipt of the goods (or the last item when the order is delivered in several parts) to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to state a reason and without penalty, subject to the exceptions provided for in Article L. 221-28 of the Consumer Code.
3. How to exercise the right of withdrawal
To exercise their right, the Customer must inform Lirnova of their decision by means of an unambiguous statement (for example, a letter sent by post or email), indicating their name, order number, and the product concerned. They can also use the standard form provided.
For the withdrawal period to be respected, it is sufficient for the Customer to send their decision before the 14-day period expires.
4. Returning the product
The Customer must return the product to the address communicated by Lirnova after receipt of their request, without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days after communicating their decision to withdraw.
Return shipping costs are borne by the Customer, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Lirnova.
5. Condition of the returned product
The product must be returned in a condition that allows it to be resold, clean, complete and, as far as possible, in its original packaging. The Customer is only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods (Article L. 221-23 of the Consumer Code).
Given the nature of an item intended for close contact with the skin of young children, proven use, washing, or wear may result in depreciation of the goods, for which the Customer remains responsible.
6. Refund
Lirnova will refund the Customer all sums paid, including any initial standard delivery costs, no later than 14 days from the day it is informed of the decision to withdraw. The refund may, however, be deferred until the goods are recovered or until the Customer has provided proof of shipment, whichever date is earlier.
The refund will be made using the same payment method as that used for the initial transaction, unless the Customer expressly agrees to another method; this refund will not incur any fees for the Customer.
7. Defective or non-conforming products
Regardless of the right of withdrawal, any product that is defective or does not conform to the description may be subject to a claim under the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L. 217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code) or the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code), the terms of which are set out in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. These guarantees are free of charge and are not affected by any opening or reasonable use of the product.
